‘The Brain: The Story of You’ by David Eagleman

If you’re unsure about neuroscience, this is the book you should read. This book is completely beginner friendly- big font size, interesting pictures, satisfyingly thick paper, and large concepts explained in a way a 10 year old can understand. While reading this book, I began asking questions I never thought of. And though no one can answer the question of what consciousness truly is, this book provides a completely new perspective on it. The book also explains new innovations in the field of neuroscience and a prospective path the field can take in the future- one that blows my mind, almost literally.

It’s an introduction to neuroscience in an unusual way, without talking about the usual textbook content. This is the book that got me thinking about the brain and believe me, it’ll make you think as well.
